Inspired by cityscapes and nature,  Ross Collado’s deeply psychological works  seem to probe the unconscious, evoking contemplation and shifting moods, much like gazing through rain-streaked windows on a speeding train that frames ever-changing landscapes.

The minimalist works are imbued with color, depth and protean forms, often rendered in blues and shades of crimson and rust.**

*The word protean comes from the Greek mythological sea god Proteus, who could change his shape at will. The word protean means able to change shape, take on different forms, or be variable.
